Green Smoothie Journey
As some of you may know, I started my one month journey of drinking one green smoothie a day with the Simple Green Smoothie Challenge. I’m secretly hoping it will turn into a full blown habit and I’ll do it everyday for the rest of my life….I’ll keep you posted.
I’m currently on day 16 and I decided to share a few thoughts with you.
I fail at least once a week.
Some days, I wake up a bit late and I just don’t have time to scavenge through the fridge and find fruits and veggies to blend together before rushing off to work. Other days, I simply run out of stuff to put in my smoothie. One morning, I tried to be resourceful and threw in anything I could find just so I wouldn’t miss a day… bad idea.
Raspberries are my smoothie nightmare.
As good as my smoothie tasted with raspberries blended in it, every sip was a mouthful of seeds.
Mango, strawberry, banana.
I feel more energized.
Since starting the challenge, I definitely have a bit more energy each day. I feel more awake in the mornings and I’m not starving before lunch.
