Can You Go Plastic-Free for 31 Days?

World Oceans Day is challenging everyone to go plastic-free for July. I recently decided to do the challenge and figured I’d share this challenge with all of you lovely people!

Join me?

I know it’s already July 8th but, there’s never a bad time to do something good and it’s up to you regarding how long you participate. You can do it for a day, a week, a month or longer!

According to the United Nations Environment Programme, every square mile of ocean has 46,000 pieces of plastic floating in it, which is the main reason over a million sea birds, whales, dolphins, seals, sea turtles, and sharks die from plastic debris in the ocean.

The Challenge

Be an awesome person and join me in this challenge! All you have to do is attempt to refuse single-use plastic during July. This includes plastic shopping bags, plastic cups, straws, plastic packaging (anything that’s intended to be used only once and then thrown out).

This isn’t easy. Trust me. So, don’t worry if you mess up once in a while. This challenge is all about being more conscious of our plastic consumption, and serve as a platform to discuss new ideas to put it into practice.

Please share your experiences and challenges with this campaign! I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts and stories during their journey on this challenge.

Much Love!
